- Matt Fitzpatrick won the U.S. Open by one stroke over Scottie Scheffler Sunday.
- Dodgers right-fielder Mookie Betts was placed on the injured list and will be out indefinitely with a cracked rib.
- Golden State Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson has decided not to take the Charlotte Hornets head coaching job and will remain with the Warriors as their top assistant.
- Keppel still has not hired a head football coach and may be on the verge of dropping the program.

Keppel has struggled for years (demographics), but it would be a shame to see the program go away.
