  1. El Segundo, CA beat Curacao 6-5 in the Little League Baseball World Series championship Sunday. Louis Lappe hit a walk off home run to win it. 
  2. The Chargers beat the San Francisco 49ers 23-12 Friday night in a preseason game. 
  3. The Rams lost to the Denver Broncos 41-0 Saturday night in a preseason game. 
  4. The 49ers traded quarterback Trey Lance to the Dallas Cowboys for a fourth-round pick. 
  5. The Dodgers beat the Boston Red Sox 7-4 Sunday to improve to 80-49 on the season. The Dodgers are 12 games ahead of the second place Arizona Diamondbacks. 
  6. Notre Dame beat Navy 42-3 Saturday in Dublin, Ireland to kick off the 2023 season. 
  7. Florida at Utah, Thursday 5:00 p.m. ESPN. 
  8. 12 different receivers caught passes Saturday night for USC in a 56-28 win over San Jose St. 
  9. Arizona State will not play a bowl game in 2023 after the school self-imposed a one-year bowl ban. There is also currently an ongoing case by the NCAA against the school’s football program. 
  10. Covina has outscored its first two opponents, Cal and South Hills, by the combined score of 82-14.
