- Anthony Jefferson stepped down as the head football coach at Cathedral two games into the season. DC Vince Jefferson (no relation) has taken over as head coach.
- MVS Twitter Poll: What is the best Thursday night game? Final results-152 votes: Diamond Bar at Covina 55%, South Pasadena at Baldwin Park 36%, Arroyo at Schurr 9%.
- Pasadena has been outscored 129-0 in its first two games.
- The Indianapolis Colts did not trade running back Jonathan Taylor but he will remain on the physically unable to perform list meaning he will be ineligible to play in the first four games of the season.
- Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is on the physically unable to perform list and will not be able to play in the first four games of the season. The Cardinals also released quarterback Colt McCoy and plan to start Joshua Dobbs at quarterback. The Cardinals just picked up Dobbs in a trade last week.
- Quarterback Max Duggan was Among the Chargers cuts Tuesday. The Chargers also traded kicker Dustin Hopkins to the Cleveland Browns for a 2025 seventh round pick. Cameron Dicker “The Kicker” will be the Chargers kicker.
- The Rams cut offensive lineman Logan Bruss, who was a third-round pick in the 2022 draft.
- The Angels placed six players on waivers Tuesday including starting pitcher Lucas Giolito which means another team can claim the player and the Angels would pay $50,000 and gain salary relief. The Angels who traded for Giolito before the trade deadline on July 26, have gone 7-17 in August.
- Longtime Monrovia Athletic Director Randy Bell is expected to be named the new AD at West Covina by the end of the week.

All Pasadena would need is a coach to turn them into players they definitely have athletes. I’m sure they had more athletes than LS but just no coaching.
