(Rowland Heights) – Ryan Jacobson has stepped down as the head football coach at Rowland after 11 seasons multiple sources have confirmed.
Jacobson took over for Craig Snyder who resigned after the 2013 campaign. Rowland’s best season under Jacobson was in 2021 when the Raiders went 7-3 overall but missed the playoffs after finishing third in the Valle Vista League. Rowland had five seasons during Jacobson’s 11-year run in which it finished 5-5.
Last year the Raiders went 3-7 overall and finished 1-2, third place, in the Sierra League.
Rowland will begin the search for a new head coach immediately.
A little birdie said the new coach will be the coach from Jurupa Hills he will be announced soon. It’s a done deal.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they can’t find a replacement and have to fold the program. Nobody wants to coach there, and the administration is too incompetent/corrupt to make the job appealing to anyone.
@Detached Observer, Party foul. You missed a golden opportunity to quote The Wedding Singer right there in your first comment.
Freedom to forfeit games and get promoted ? Thats one step beyond freedom: license
Lmao Marty v has freedom at Nogales don’t think he gets that at Rowland high
Who cares about that vuy,and where he coaches
From T. Peterson: Huh? What’s a vuy?
That would have made more sense to me from the beginning !
With Rowland being so geographically close to Nogales, I’m expecting to hear that Matty V has bolted from the Nobles program in favor of doing Rowland instead. The man needs to be in the news as much as we all need to breathe.
