What is further confusing to me is that he’s complaining about the score which was result of emptying the bench early . Shouldn’t that have given everyone a chance ????

Thanks for the college lesson related to scholarship the point is the LA Dad feels his son career is on jeopardy because of Ziola, Daddy goggles vs what the head coach thinks, maybe Ziola doesn’t see what the dad sees, assuming the dad is complaining about his sons playing time.

Los Altos parents are the worst!!!
I hated every second of coaching there, zero accountability on their kids actions and effort. Everything is the coaches fault, when it’s their kids on the field. Most delusional parents ever!

It’s no fun when you’re getting blown out every game . Thursday game was first to gone distance without running clock . The schedule was way too tough for this current edition ; hopefully they can modify for next year and find some teams from Montview , Miramonte , Gano
Almont type leagues for preseason and build some confidence !
You can look forward to Whittier game , make it your Super Bowl and be happy there’s no week 10 game .

@LA Dad from my side of the stadium the game was over when they took QB out with about 10 mins left in the 3rd up 41-7. Leave LA for Cal let’s see how you will feel after. It ain’t fun on my side.

Workman must do what Gladstone did, merge with another school. Workman should merge with La Puente. La Puente is mostly smoke and mirrors playing a very weak schedule. This will make that student body Relevant and then they can compete with Wilson.

Anonymous Cal , I suggest, has Administration and AD (at least few years ago) who didnt even try/want to hire the best possible potential head coach. Looks like they hire from within previous varsity staff since they got that HD from Sonora about ten years ago. Hiring from within is good for the previous varsity assistants possibly, but from what i have observed non of them even was a college athlete.

September 27, 2024 – 9:25 am Who cares if D1 talent? All college divisions are great if a kid earns a full or partial scholarship for football or football/academic combo. Only d3 does not give athletic scholarships. Hell with only d1

Nice win. I like the fact that ER is getting battle tested against physical teams like Don Lugo, WC, Fontana and SH. Another thing I liked they played tough despite what I heard a bunch of starters were out, That allowed my kid an underclassmen getting some meaningful time. And the 4th thing the last drive. Coaches no huddle offense had South Hills hands on knees gasping for breath and made a TD despite 3 holding penalties wiping out big plays and taking the Dons backwards. Good game boys.

Oh and Workman forfeited their game vs Wilson . I understand that Wilson has a good running back who might have run for 300 yards by halftime . Still how can you forfeit to a team with -22 CalPreps ??? They should go to 8 man ….. have to get new outlook on football.

Edison lead 29-0 in the 1st quarter playing with their 3rd string QB. Called off the dogs early and let LS have some garbage time scores. Thanks Edison for sparing LS some humiliation.

    It was not close , 21 -0 3rd quarter
They got the friendly treatment from Wilson staff….::
Believe it or not , Panthers are now 3 point underdogs (according to CalPreps) when they travel to Gab final week of season in what looms as 4th place game in awful MVL. One can only wonder why administration has allowed this program to plummet into the depths in the last three years ?

ER quietly has gone 4-2 and by all means should’ve beaten Don Lugo. The only real blunder was that West Covina but ER moved the ball very well in the 1st half and couldn’t convert when needed. Now the LS monster is upon us, buckle up ER.

41-26, but it was 41-7 when LA emptied the bench and put JV players in. Cal kept all their starters in and was onside kicking when the game was already out of reach. It was a blowout but I guess a 15 point loss was better for Cal-Hi morale.

Hmmm….wasn’t there and haven’t seen recap. The score is not impressive , but the game may or may not have been close. Just looking at league, they look to be in the mix for third place and automatic bid . Demographics and football cultures change and are difficult to reform. I can’t see making a judgement on the season based on this game . Good luck to your son , I hope he gets his opportunity.
