- LA Kings captain Anze Kopitar announced he is retiring after the 2025-’26 season, his 20th in the NHL.
- The Buffalo Bills (3-0) beat the Miami Dolphins (0-3) 31-21 on Thursday Night Football.
- The Rams are at Philadelphia Sunday at 10:00 AM on FOX.
- Baldwin Park (4-0) at Monrovia (4-0) Friday Night, 7:00 PM.
- The Chicago Cubs clinched a National Leage playoff berth with an 8-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates Wednesday.
- The Angels are in last place in the AL West, three game behind the Athletics, with nine games left to play.
- The Seattle Mariners and the Houston Astros are dead even in first place in the AL West at 84-69 heading into Friday’s action.
