(Monrovia) – Julian Vigil rushed for 240 yards and two touchdowns to lead San Dimas to a 42-14 rout of Monrovia Friday night at Monrovia High.

Lions Victorious Over the Spartans

(La Verne) Victor Santa Cruz, who previously coached nearby as the head coach of the Azusa Pacific Cougars football team, brought his J Serra Catholic Lions north to take on the Damien Spartans in both teams final tune-up before league play begins. Santa Cruz’s Lions handled their business to the tune of a 49-21 trouncing of the Spartans Friday night at Damien High School.

Glendora — With the ball placed at the 16-yard line and less than three seconds left in regulation, the Temple City Rams’ defense shut down any attempt for a game-tying touchdown as they stuffed Azusa quarterback Juan Tapia Jr. from reaching the end zone, sealing the 20-14 win on a chilly Friday night at Citrus College.
