Rio Hondo League at a Glance

San Marino and Brady Beck are poised to have a big year.

This has been Monrovia’s league for the better part of the last two decades. Except for the occasional uprising of a San Marino or South Pasadena the Wildcats have ruled the roost. Last year Monrovia finished in a three-way tie for first place. The Wildcats lost to South Pasadena while South Pas fell to San Marino.

MVL at a Glance

South El Monte has its eyes on the Mission Valley League crown. The Eagles will have to get by Arroyo first. The Knights are the defending league champs and until someone proves they can knock them off they are the team to beat. El Monte and Rosemead should battle for that third spot. The Panthers are coming off a very un-Rosemead like year going 2-8 in 2023. Mt. View and Gabrielino, barring any major upsets, will bring up the rear.

Sierra League at a Glance

Noah Mikhail (Texas A&M commit) is ready for a huge year at Bonita.

With Charter Oak on the rise, Bonita and Colony always contending and Glendora preparing to knock any one of them off the Sierra is arguably the toughest league in the Valley. Throw in Los Osos and Claremont, two teams that could jump up and bite somebody, and every week is going to be a dogfight.
