Tartans Topple Alta Loma in Opener
By Joseph Rodriguez (Glendora)- The Tartans opened their season with rousing success Friday night. They used a strong third quarter to go up by 17 before eventually settling for a 24-14 win over Alta Loma at Citrus College.

Montebello Survives Northview Surge, Oilers win, 43-42
By Rich Whittington (Montebello)—The Montebello Oilers held on to beat the visiting Northview Vikings, 43-42, Friday evening at Montebello High School. Oilers nose guard Brandon Gonzalez’s interception of Vikings quarterback Steven Comstock’s 2-point conversion attempt on the last play of the contest sealed the victory.
