2.) On this day in 1974 Hank Aaron hits his 715th home run to break Babe Ruth’s record.

3.) Former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Matt Latos throws six scoreless inning, gives up one hit, and strikes out two in his debut for the Chicago White Sox in Oakland yesterday.

9.) ESPN is reporting that New York Jets left tackle, D’Brickashaw Ferguson has decided to retire. Ferguson, a first-round pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, had not missed a game in ten seasons.
