Knight Steps Down at Don Lugo
By Tim Peterson Joshua Knight has stepped down as the head football coach at Don Lugo after two seasons he announced Tuesday. The reason for the resignation is that Knight and his family are moving to Texas to begin a new journey.

By Tim Peterson (La Puente) – Bishop Amat has named Kory Minor as its new head football coach the school announced Monday. Minor replaces Steve Hagerty who stepped down last month after 17 years.

Pasadena Holds On to Win Division 13 Title
By Tim Peterson (Pasadena) – Andrew Johnson intercepted a pass at the Pasadena five-yard line with 2:07 left in the contest to lift Pasadena to a 21-17 win over Gahr Saturday night and to the CIF Division 13 championship.
San Gabriel Finishes as Runner-Up
By Rich Whittington (Whittier) – The San Gabriel Matadors had to “settle for second” Saturday evening, as the host Pioneer Titans won, 13-6, securing the CIF Division 14 Title in the friendly confines of Dick Torres Memorial Stadium.

By Tim Peterson (Arcadia) – Rio Hondo Prep rushed for 313 yards and five touchdowns in a 43-16 rout of Warren Friday night to win the CIF Division 7 Championship at Arcadia High School. The Kares have now won back-to-back CIF titles after winning in Division 9 last year.

By Alex A. Gonzalez Palos Verdes: After being shutout for three quarters in the Division 5 CIF-SS final, the Palos Verdes Sea Kings erupted and scored 23 straight points in the fourth quarter, and defeated the La Serna Lancers 23-7 in front of their home crowd on a cold Friday night.
