    Schurr is not La Serna, Schurr does not get the quality of athletes La Serna gets, Schurr does not have the funding La Serna has, Schurr does not have the amount of coaches La Serna does, Schurr is not 3 deep, La Serna is. You can schedule a tough preseason all you want it does not mean you are going to win come playoff time. Desire is one thing, success and results are another, Stat padding playing mark keppel, Alhambra, San Gabriel, Montebello and bell gardens does nothing. Cal High and Whittier would compete for a league title in the current Almont that’s how bad it has been.

    @LP

    Hasn’t LS been doing that for years now playing a solid/tough pre season go into a weak league dominate and make a long playoff run? Looks like Schurr is trying to do that with a tougher pre season into a weak league. I would love to see them win.

    @:Anonymous I agree with your prediction, especially with new Schurr coach talking stuff all summer .Friday night at Rio is a harsh way to open the season .
    I’m not fading Schurr so much tho. It’s not easy to step up in playoffs when you don’t get much competition in league ; they played Muir tough last year . Really in new model , playoff success is largely random and CIF dependent

    There is an issue with available refs in SGV , thus many games getting moved to Thursday night . Also note ElSegundo at South Pasadena also on Thursday now .

    RHP will win in a route, never have I seen a team get glazed as hard as Schurr in my life, no playoff wins in almost a decade, a couple of league titles in one of the weakest leagues in the CIF and somehow it’s a krispy kreem donut shop with all the glaze in the world.
