Arcadia is the hottest team heading into post season and is looking for redemption from previous playoff woes. Bonita, Bishop Amat and South Hills also should have strong playoff runs.
Arroyo finally nailed down the MVL while Temple City’s pitching was the cream of the Rio Hondo. Alhambra is looking to make some noise after an impressive Almont run. CIF playoff pairings will be announced Monday.
1. Bonita (24-4) – Hacienda League champs will be hard to beat.
2. Bishop Amat (24-4) – Lancers ran the table in Del Rey.
3. Arcadia (23-3) – Pacific League streak hits 30 for league champs.
4. South Hills (20-4) – Took care of all comers in the Sierra.
5. Glendora (17-6-1) – Wrapped up baseline with 24 runs in final two games.
6. Crescenta Valley (23-4) – Falcons couldn’t get over Arcadia hump.
7. Alhambra (22-3) – Back to back shutouts to close out Almont.
8. San Dimas (19-8-1) – Lost only once to claim Valle Vista League crown.
9. Whittier Christian (22-5) – Won the Olympic by four full games.
10. La Salle (17-10) – With Amat and St. Paul, Lancers are battle tested.
11. Temple City (16-7) – Corey Copping blanks South Pas to close out Rio.
12. Sierra Vista (19-4) – Dons raise Montview League banner.
13. Los Altos (18-9) – Conquerors late push lands them in second place.
14. Covina (16-10) – Second place Colts could get first round home game.
15. Damien (14-12) – Spartans win five of last six; second in Sierra.
16. Montebello (16-8) – Oilers good for second in Almont.
17. Diamond Bar (15-11) – Brahmas battled in Hacienda all year.
18. Mayfair (14-11) – Monsoons tie La Mirada for first in Suburban at 10-2.
19. La Mirada (15-14) – Matadores should get a good draw.
20. Arroyo (14-8) – It took awhile but Knights finally clinched MVL.
21. La Puente (16-7) – Third in Montview will mean playoff spot.
22. El Rancho (14-10) – Even for first with Whittier but Dons won two of three.
23. Whittier (14-9) – Playoffs are in the Cards for Whittier.
24. Pasadena (15-9-1) – Bulldogs took third in Pacific; playoffs next.
25. Monrovia (11-13-1) – Wildcats win three of last four to grab second in Rio Hondo.
