A fourth quarter shootout allowed the Spartans (6-1, 2-0) to preserve a win at Homecoming over the Huskies (3-4, 0-2) Friday night at Damien.
The teams combined for 25 points in a sequence of five plays that decided the contest. The Huskies erased a 16-point halftime deficit in the fourth on 36-yard field goal by Danny Sheehan but the Spartans regained the lead on a 61-yard pass from Gage Pucci to Travion Boykins on the next play from scrimmage.
