1.) Yasiel Puig watch: he went 3-for-4 against Arizona last night, making him 16-for-32 (.500) in eight games in an LA uniform so far this season.

2.) Matt Kemp only has 13 multi-hit games in 51 chances this season. So far Puig already has six of them in his eight for the Dodgers.

3.) “Brandon is out of his league,” said Tim Peterson…about Brandon League giving up four runs in the 9th inning to the Diamondbacks last night. It was League’s fourth blown save and third loss of the season.

4.) On this day in 1919 Sir Barton became horse racing’s first Triple Crown winner by winning the Belmont Stakes.

5.) On this day in 1977 Seattle Slew won the Belmont Stakes, capturing the Triple Crown.

6.) On this day in 1990 Nolan Ryan tossed his sixth career no-hitter for the Texas Rangers, he was 43 years old. Ryan threw one more in the 1991 season to finish with a major league career leading seven no hitters.

7.) On this day in 2010 The FIFA World Cup opened in South Africa, the first time soccer’s biggest tournament was held on that continent.

8.) Tim Tebow to the New England Patriots.

9.) The U.S. Men’s National Team will continue their World Cup Qualifying quest in Seattle today verse Panama. Last Friday the Men’s team beat Jamaica in Kingston by a score of 2-1.
