  1. The American League beat the National League 4-0 Tuesday night in the MLB All-Star game in Philadelphia. Cody Bellinger of the New York Yankees had a two-run single in the first inning and was named MVP.
  2. England vs. Argentina, Wednesday – World Cup Semi-Finals.
  3. LeBron James is reportedly down to three teams as his destination for next season. The top three are Philadelphia, Miami and Cleveland.
  4. Roch Chowlosky, the UCLA shortstop who was number one pick in the MLB draft last week, has agreed to a contract with the Chicago White Sox that includes a record-breaking $10.35 million signing bonus.
  5. On this date in 1973 Nolan Ryan threw the second no-hitter of his career in the California Angels 6-0 win over the Detroit Tigers.
  6. Houston Texans co-founder and senior chair Janice S. McNair passed away Tuesday at the age of 89.
  7. Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver/ Hall of Famer John Stallworth turns 74 today.
  8. Dallas Cowboys outside linebacker Charles Snowden has been suspended for the first three games of the 2026 season. The reason for the suspension was not stated, but Snowden reached a plea agreement in January to resolve a DUI arrest from 2024 when he played for the Las Vegas Raiders.
