Annual Super Bowl Coaches Poll: Some coaches liked Denver’s offense while others like Seattle’s defense. One coach is partial to New England…next year. Another is convinced the winner will be….San Dimas? It’s not too late to get in. If you’re a coach and still want to voice your pick post a comment at the bottom of this page.
Michael McKay: Former Temple City, Montebello, Pasadena, etc. Asst: Seahawks: Sure, Peyton is Peyton and his receivers are the best. But the difference is the Seahawks pass rush. Peyton can’t move like Kap or even Brees.
George Hernandez: Norwalk Asst: Broncos by 13. Manning is going to pick on everyone not named Sherman.
Brian Tabatabai: El Monte OC: Seattle 27-16: Seattle is too physical. They’ll control the ball and if the Meadowland winds do what they do, Peyton’s lack of arm strength will be a factor.
James Escarcega: Crespi Asst: Denver 29-17.
Mike McFarland: Temple City HC: Denver.
Victor Salazar: Schurr OC: Seattle.
Mike Maggiore: West Covina HC: Denver. I think Denver is slightly better but I want Seattle.
Bill Zernickow: San Dimas HC: Broncos.
Matt Lopez: San Dimas Asst: Denver and give the points up.
Mike Moschetti: La Mirada HC: Broncos. Peyton Manning and that opportunistic defense will find a way.
Marco Ramirez: Schurr HC: Seahawks. I’m a Raiders fan so I cannot find it in me to root for the Broncos.
Roddy Layton: Diamond Ranch HC: Diamond Ranch. That’s the only team I follow.
Erick Escamilla: Former South El Monte HC: Broncos and Peyton Manning by 20!
Craig Snyder: Former Rowland HC: Denver.
Wardell Crutchfield: Former Duarte HC/ Baldwin Park Asst: Seahawks. Defense wins championships.
Matt Koffler: Former Rosemead/LP HC: Denver.
Jude Oliva: Maranatha HC: Broncos. The Seahawks are awesome on defense and really physical as a team but I’m taking the Broncos with Peyton Manning and all those weapons on the perimeter.
Jesse Ceniceros: Norwalk HC: Denver. Can’t go wrong with Peyton, Ramirez and Vasquez.
Joe Scherf: Azusa HC: Seahawks. I’ve been a Seahawks fan since 1981. Go Hawks!
Pete Karavedas: Sunny Hills DC/Former Maranatha HC: Denver. Defense wins championships but I would love to see Peyton get another ring.
Daryl Thomas: Former Covina HC: Seattle.
Jim Arnold: Former Cal HC: Broncos.
Anthony White: Buena Park HC: Denver. Last 3 Super Bowls have been won by “teams of destiny.” I’m going with Manning’s destiny.
Brian Zavala: Montebello DC: Broncos. Even though Seattle has the better defense.
Felipe Aguilar: Rowland Asst: Seattle.
Jim Arellanes: Marshall HC: Broncos. I’m going with Peyton and the Broncos.
Albert Sanchez: Former Gladstone HC: Denver. Since Seattle came back and beat my Niners and being an offensive minded guy, I’m going for Denver.
Pete Smolin: Former Bassett HC/ Citrus Valley HC: Seahawks. Gotta love Pete Carroll!
Donald Bernard: St. Paul DC: Denver. Yes I’m a hater.
Zeke Prado: Former San Gabriel Asst/ Dakota Wesleyan Asst: Denver. But Seahawks are playing at high level.
Tip Sanders: Former Marshall/Blair/ Duarte HC/ Long time area coach: Seahawks.
Ray Hernandez: Former La Puente/ South El Monte HC: Denver. Ponies pull away in the fourth.
Riley Saxon: Temple City JV HC/ Varsity Asst: Denver 20 Seattle 13. Toughest one in awhile.
Steve Bogan: Former South Hills HC/ South Hills Freshman HC: Denver. Unless the weather is really bad. I think bad weather will impact their offense more than Seattle’s defense. Good weather and it’s Denver’s to lose.
Steve Clarkson: Quarterback Guru: Denver by 3 or Seattle by 4. I’m not sure. Depends on the weather!
Ryan Maddox: Former Monrovia HC: Seahawks. Got to take Walter Thurmond and the Seahawks.
Mike Minter: Monrovia Asst: Seahawks. Seattle and the under.
Keith Jones: Former San Gabriel HC: New England…in 2015.
James Wilson: Former Mt. View HC: Denver.
Jim Singiser: Arroyo HC: San Dimas. The runner up will be Seattle.
Chris McMillan: Arroyo OC: Seattle. But I want Denver to win.
Ibis Aguilar: South El Monte HC: Broncos. In a tight game.
Ted Clarke: Former San Dimas HC/Whittier College Asst./ Long time area Coach: Seattle. Defense will win it.
Jacob Ochoa: Former Alhambra DC: Broncos. Even though I am in Seahawks country and a former D-Coordinator, great QBs win championships. Got to go with Peyton to win over Russell.
Chris Rix: QB Mentor; Founder of Champion Training Academy: Denver. I’m pulling for a friend – Russell Wilson- but I’m picking Denver by six.
James Heggins: Former Baldwin Park HC: Seahawks. I hate the Broncos.
Eric Elias: Arcadia Asst: Broncos: I’m a Colts fan and part of me still roots for our Colts legend Peyton.
Kennedy Bryant: Former Pasadena Pop Warner Coach: Seattle.
Lou Torres: Former Alhambra HC: Denver. Peyton Manning will be the difference.
Marcel Perez: Northview HC: Seattle. Defense wins championships.
Pete Gonzalez: Montebello HC: Seahawks: Although Denver receivers are a great corps together I don’t believe they have played anyone in the AFC close to the physical secondary like the Seahawks have. Too much depth in that secondary.
Marc Paramo: Rosemead HC: Broncos! I’m a UCLA grad for so I have a distaste for Carroll.
Pat Ahhing: Rosemead OC: Seahawks. I’m a USC guy.
Cedric Ho: Maranatha Asst: Seahawks.
Margarito Beltran: La Serna HC: Seattle.
Pete Gonzalez Jr: Montebello OC: Seahawks. Manning is going to have trouble throwing in the cold and Seattle secondary is too versatile, physical and too deep for Denver. Seattle is going to be able to run play action on a Denver D that is not very good.
Ryan Maine: Diamond Bar HC: Broncos: It’s going to be a close one but in Peyton we trust.
Joel Sanchez: El Monte HC: Broncos 31-26. Manning MVP.
Adrian Medrano: Bonita HC: Broncos. Hall of Fame quarterback mixed with a strong run game and great defense.
Joe Brown: Covina HC: Seattle: It’s a tough choice but I always pull for the NFC.
Thomas Camerano: San Marino Asst: Denver.
Dale Ziola: Los Altos HC: Broncos. Go Peyton!
Gil Ruedaflores: Former Alhambra HC: Broncos. Experienced QB. Big receivers. Good linemen.
Manny Ruedaflores: Former Alhambra OC/Pasadena City College Asst: Seahawks.
Aaron Sepulveda: Keppel HC: Denver.
David Ramos: Former Bell Gardens HC/ St. Paul Asst.
