2. Burbank (7-1) – Good teams win close games. Can’t overlook Pasadena.
3. South Hills (6-2) – Have rolled off five straight after losing to La Habra and Tesoro.
4. Schurr (6-1-1) – Spartans defense will be tested with high-scoring Matadors.
5. Burroughs (6-2) – Indians two opponents that have beaten them are a combined 13-2-1.
6. West Covina (5-4) – Bulldogs use Mid Valley karma to defeat previously unbeaten Rowland.
7. Crescenta Valley (6-2) – Falcons are this good and could upset Pacific league title chase with win against Burroughs.
8. Rowland (7-1) – Last remaining unbeaten falls to revived West Covina team.
9. California (5-2-1) – It is “Groundhog Week” for Condors as they have been in this position last year.
10. San Gabriel (5-3) – Alex Lopez is back and Matadors are now clicking on offense.
11. Diamond Ranch (2-6) – Panthers finally win a close one after dropping two games in final seconds this year.
12. Walnut (6-2) – Mustangs keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
13. Santa Fe (6-2) – Chiefs have a chance to muddle up the Del Rio league title chase.
14. Alhambra (4-3) – Not saying I told you so just yet, but loss to Bell Gardens will have me saying it.
15. Bell Gardens (6-2) – Lancers can see the playoffs in the horizon but have Moors standing in their way.
16. Muir (2-6) – Every week is a playoff game for Mustangs from here on it.
17. Pasadena (4-4) – Bulldogs must win out to make the playoffs.
18. La Serna (2-6) – Lancers appeared to be in some trouble prior to league and now have a shot a playoff spot.
19. Bonita (2-6) – Bearcats have lost seven two-way players to injury this season.
20. El Rancho (4-4) – Dons heading in the wrong direction at the wrong time.
21. Arcadia (1-6-1) – Gave Burbank all they could handle in loss.
22. Los Altos (3-5) – Conquerors need to bring their “A” game to beat Diamond Ranch.
23. Wilson (2-6) – Have been outscored 152-29 in last three games. All losses.
24. Pioneer (3-5) – Titans failed to score in loss to California.
25. Nogales (2-6) – Long season gets longer with Rowland next week.
26. Whittier (3-5) – Cardinals couldn’t pull off upset against La Serna.
27. Montebello (2-6) – Oilers are in same position from a year ago.
28. Glendale (1-7) – Nitros gave up only 41 points this week.
29. Hoover (1-7) – Loss to Muir was much closer than it appeared.
30. Keppel (1-7) – Aztecs can’t keep up with Bell Gardens.
