Just ridiculous that the CIF can not find closer locations for the schools to play the Finals at.
A few years ago , MVL teams( Marshall and Arroyo) played for CIF championship at UC Riverside. There was a good crowd, but what size crowd would they have had had they played within 20 miles of the schools.

After all the monsoons during the football state championships a couple of years ago, they chose four neutral sites to have those games. Didn’t Temple City play for the ‘ship at Dodger Stadium?

The message is that we can devalue lower Division games when it’s in “ our interest “. These squads have worked hard and deserve equal access to their fans, parents . 10am on a school day in a location remote to most is not reasonable access .
Why not add locations , make those locations as regionally specific as possible and give more opportunity for parents and boosters ( who pay significant teams fees ) to get there ?
Oh great! We’re in the finals! Let’s play at 10 A,M. on a school/work day! Who needs student body or parental support?
Why not Brookside field at the Rose Bowl?
A neutral location a little farther away couldn’t be found? Seriously, what does Camarillo have a 5 hour bus ride? Good luck to St Francis and South El Monte.
