  1. The New York Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh Tuesday after a 2-3 start. Saleh, who was in his fourth season with the team, had an overall record of 20-36 with no playoff appearances. 
  2. Dodgers lost to the San Diego Padres 6-5 Tuesday night to fall behind 2-1 in the NLDS.
  3. The New York Mets beat the Philadelphia Phillies 7-2 Tuesday to take a 2-1 lead in the NLDS. 
  4. The Kansas City Chiefs beat the New Orleans Saints 26-13 on Monday Night Football to improve to 5-0 on the season. 
  5. The Kansas City Royals beat the New York Yankees 4-2 Monday to even the ALDS at 1-1. The Cleveland Guardians and the Detroit Tigers are tied at 1 in the ALDS after a 3-0 win by Detroit Monday. 
  6. Former Warren quarterback Madden Iamaleava transferred to Long Beach Poly after just two games but was denied athletic eligibility in all sports at Long Beach Poly by CIF. The decision comes with just four regular season games left in the football season. 
  7. Dodger pitcher Walker Buehler was robbed of his $100,000 watch Monday at Santa Anita Park. 
  8. Former Boston Red Sox pitching legend Luis Tiant died at the age of 83. Tiant won 229 games in his 19-year career and had an ERA of 3.30 and had 2,416 strikeouts. 
  9. Rookie quarterback Drake Maye will make his first NFL start for the New England Patriots Sunday against the Houston Texans.

    doesn’t make sense how Madden can get a character award one week & then be banned the next?

    wow, CiF is nuts!!!

    maybe they need to call LS and see how they got CJ to do mid season transfer to save there season. They need to build CJ a statue in front of the school

    Both Luis Tiant and Fernando Valenzuela belong in MLB Hall of Fame
