1. Professional Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan passed away Thursday at the age 71.

2. In the Dodgers 4-3 win over the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday Shohei Ohtani tied a Dodger record by homering in his fifth consecutive game.

3. Veteran pitcher Jesse Chavez who had 657 appearances with nine different teams over 18 seasons, announced his retirement from baseball. 

4. The Milwaukee Brewers, at 61-41, now have the best record in baseball. 

5. Shortstop Nick Ahmed, who spent 15 seasons in the majors including 10 with the Arizona Diamondbacks, announced his retirement Thursday. 

6. The Dodgers will open a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox Friday night at Fenway Park.

7. USC freshman basketball player Alijah Arenas, son of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas, will sit out six to eight months after suffering a knee injury that will require surgery. 

8. Kansas head basketball coach Bill Self was hospitalized Thursday and had two stents inserted the university said. He is expected to make a full recovery. 

9. The Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper hit his 350th career hone run Wednesday night in a 9-8, 11-inning loss to the Red Sox. 

10. The Las Vegas Raiders released defensive tackle Christian Wilkins Thursday after signing him to a four-year, $110 million deal last offseason. Wilkins has been recovering from a fracture in his left foot which he suffered last October.
