Trojans should be 3-0 heading into Michigan State game.
8/30 Missouri State
9/6 Georgia Southern
9/13 at Purdue
9/20 Michigan State
9/27 at Illinois
10/11 Michigan
10/18 at Notre Dame
11/1 at Nebraska
11/8 Northwestern
11/15 Iowa
11/22 at Oregon
11/29 UCLA
@ Low Profile: The Trojans undoubtedly caught a scheduling break in skipping both Ohio State and Penn State, but it will still be a challenge for them to finish over the .500 mark in the Big 10. Michigan State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Iowa, and Oregon almost always have good-to-excellent teams, and Illinois has been pretty good during the last year or two. I don’t think USC is going to have an easy time running that gauntlet.
No Ohio State , no Penn St . Preseason cupcakes on to start season
Anything less than 9-3 is a bad year and not ready for premier bowl
Game
I’m not a fan of Riley regime
I see at least six possible losses for the Trojans this season, unless they’ve improved dramatically on defense. That number could rise to as many as seven if the Purdue Boilermakers have something for them, and USC has been known for taking an occasional surprise loss on the road.
I’ll own this if USC ends up having a spectacular season, but I don’t see that happening as of now. There are too many good teams in the Big 10 that are not named USC or UCLA.
From T. Peterson: I see three losses…four tops.
More like 5-0 heading into the Michigan game. But knowing Lincoln Riley they will probably lose one they’re not supposed to. They will be favored in the first 6 games until they have to go to Notre Dame for game 7
