- Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Rondale Moore, who missed all of last season with a right knee injury, suffered a significant injury to his left knee against the Houston Texans on Saturday.
- Jacksonville kicker Cam Little made a 70-yard field goal in the Jaguars preseason loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers Saturday night. The kick would have broken the NFL record had it been made in a regular season game.
- Cleveland quarterback Shedeur Sanders threw for 138 yards and two touchdowns in the Browns 30-10 win over Carolina Friday night.
- Seattle’s Cal Raleigh joined Ken Griffey Jr. as the only Mariners players to hit 45 home runs in a season when he hit a two-run shot Sunday in a win over Tampa Bay. Griffey did it five times.
- The Lakers will host the Golden State Warriors on October 21 to open the 2025-’26 NBA season.
