(Norwalk) – Norwalk put its double wing offense on display with a 70-0 victory over Compton Early College Friday night at Norwalk.

Norwalk kicked off first to CEC but the Rising Phoenix didn’t pick up the ball and Onosai Faamatau fell on top of it and gave the Lancers a short field.

Da’Ron Walker scored from 10-yards out. It was just the beginning.

CEC got a first down on fourth and long but three plays later Andres Escobar picked off a Daniel Riley pass.

Diego Cerritos got his first carry of the game and broke off a 55-yard touchdown run.

Rising Phoenix again didn’t get the kickoff and Norwalk picked it up. Cerritos scored again – this one from 21-yards out making it 21-0 midway through the first.

Cerritos scored again in the first quarter after a turnover on downs by CEC.

In the second quarter Walker hit paydirt twice on scores of seven and 42. Cerritos caped off the first half scoring with a 27-yard touchdown on a reverse making it 49-0.

Walker found the end zone for the fourth time with a five-yard dive and Cerritos added his fifth touchdown putting the score 63-0 late in the third.

After a CEC fumble Keshawn Williams finished the scoring for the Lancers when he got in from five yards.

Cerritos ended up with 213-yards on nine carries and five touchdowns. Walker had nine touches for 148-yards and four scores.

The defense was lead by Faamatau and David Ibarra, Aiden Alcala also had an interception and Adrian Napier had a fumble recovery.

Riley was all the offense for CEC as he had 87-yards on the ground.

Norwalk (7-0) will be on the road next week and face Gahr (4-3). CEC (2-5) will head home to face Bellflower (5-2).
