(Covina) – Chris Williams, who has been the head coach at Diamond Ranch for the last two seasons, has left the school to become the new head football coach at Covina he confirmed Monday.
The Panthers went 3-7 overall last season (1 win by forfeit) and 0-5 in the Valle Vista League. Williams takes over for Joe Brown who stepped down after last season.
The Colts were 4-6 last year but missed the playoffs after going 1-4 in the Hacienda League.
“I’m excited about the opportunity. I think Covina has some really great built in opportunities for me to grow there,” Williams said. “I have some friends there that will help make the transition easy. And Coach Brown has been insightful and helping with process.”
Williams has had previous head coaching stops at Baldwin Park and Monrovia.

Bet!
how many places has this guy been at?
The watcher talking from the stands.
Not a bad coach at all but I believe he needs to get someone on that staff that is a disciplinary. I’ve seen too many time where players are talking back, coaches arguing with each other and players. That will get him to more victories I believe .
