Kurt Scoby: Eligible or Not?

(Monrovia) – There’s been a lot of back and forth on the boards about Monrovia transfer running back Kurt Scoby. The comments range from him having turned in all the proper paperwork to CIF to Scoby and the Monrovia AD haven’t submitted anything.

You know you’re getting close to the official beginning of the football season when the coaches start telling you they’re done with passing leagues for the summer. Arroyo Coach Jim Singiser told me that last Thursday and West Covina Coach Mike Maggiore told me the week before that.

As Fun as a Three Ring Circus

Monrovia’s Mason Bryant concluded a brilliant prep career and capped it off with his third straight CIF Championship. Bryant is now off to Penn with a future so bright he has to wear shades.
