Alhambra Loses to Bell Gardens; Moors Drop to 0-6
By Ron Vrooman (Alhambra) – Bell Gardens quarterback Jacob Reyes threw three touchdown passes, and Sean Allen and Daniel Tovar each scored twice to lead the visiting Lancers to a 25-14 victory over the Alhambra Moors last Thursday night.
Lions Sleep Tonight, 42-8
By Rich Whittington (El Monte) – The visiting South El Monte Eagles spoiled the El Monte Lions homecoming celebration Friday evening, 42-8, in the 2023 installment of the annual Griffin Bowl, held in front of a very enthusiastic crowd at El Monte’s Lions’ Stadium.
Arcadia 59 Burbank 14-FINAL
(Arcadia) – Arcadia opened Pacific League play with a 59-14 rout of Burbank Friday night on the Apaches home field. With the win Arcadia improved to 4-2 with the victory while Burbank dropped to 2-4. Here are some shots from photographer Doug Brown.
Rosemead Rolls in MVL Shootout
