1. R.A. Dickey of the New York Mets wins the National League Cy Yound Award. Dickey (20-6) becomes the first knuckleballer to win the award. The Dodgers Clayton Kershaw finished second.
2. Tampa Bay’s David Price (20-5) won the American League Cy Young.
3. Torii Hunter agrees to a two-year $26 million deal with Detroit.
4. The Miami Marlins agree to trade shortstop Jose Reyes, pitchers Josh Johnson and Mark Buehrle, catcher John Buck, and outfielder Emilio Bonafacio to Toronto for prospects.
5. The New York Knicks are 5-0.
6. West Covina RB/LB/P Aaron Salgado: Rushing: 79-633 yards, 7TD; 19 tackles, 9 assisted, 28 total; 15 punts-474 yards, 31.60 average.
7. Defending CIF Champion Pasadena opens the basketball season November 26 in the Rose City Classic.

9. New York Jets Coach Rex Ryan calls some members of the team cowardly for anonymously ripping Tim Tebow in a newspaper article.
