The Ten

(“The Ten” is not a top ten, but ten items worth being included in The TEN)

1. USC quarterback Max Wittek succeeded Matt Barkley at Mater Dei as the starter in 2009 and will now succeed Barkley at USC.

2. UCLA freshman Shabazz Muhammad scores 36 points in his first two games.

3. Jack Taylor of Division III Grinnell scores 138 points to shatter the NCAA scoring record in a 179-104 win over Faith Baptist Bible Tuesday night.

4. The NHL lockout reaches day 67 with commissioner Gary Bettman saying the two sides are ‘still far apart’.

5. San Dimas has four players with at least 500 yards rushing.

6. Santa Fe was outscored 200-14 in five non league games this year.

7. Both Paraclete and Monrovia have appeared in three CIF Finals and won two in the last four years.
