(Monrovia) – Keppel used a 10-0 run to open the fourth quarter and went to to blitz Monrovia 65-42 Friday night on the Wildcats home floor. The Aztecs had four players in double figures as Adam Thompson led the way with 17 points. Bertram Mak finished with 14 while Bailey Kikuchi and Trey Shishima each added 11.

***Keppel also jumped on Monrovia early running out to a 16-2 first quarter advantage.

***Thompson started off fast scoring 11 of his 17 in the first quarter.

***Keppel led 18-8 after one and 31-20 at the half.

***Monrovia’s Aubrey Fisher led all scorers with 19. He hit three treys including two in the first quarter.

***Fisher was the only Wildcat in double figures. Justus Tucker had eight and Michael Lara added seven. Four Monrovia players had two points each.

***Monrovia’s undoing was the first and the fourth quarters as they scored just eight points in each and were outscored 38-16 in the two quarters combined.

***Keppel was nine for 15 from the free throw line while Monrovia was four for 10.

***Keppel hit eight three pointers while Monrovia hit six.

***Monrovia dropped to 6-7 on the year and the Aztecs improved to 10-4.

***The game was played in the old gymnasium at Monrovia while the floor was being refurbished in the new facility.
