De'Shawn Ramirez scored four touchdowns in a win over South Pasadena

Temple City 41 Blair 8

  Justin Smith threw for three scores and ran for three more as Temple City blasted Blair 41-8. TC was able to empty its bench in the second half with the game already in hand.

  The contest ended early when the lights suddenly went out at Muir with just over six minutes left to play. The Rams improved to 4-3-1 (2-1 in the Rio Hondo) while Blair dropped to 0-8 overall.

 

Monrovia 35 South Pasadena 7

  De’Shawn Ramirez scored four touchdowns and rushed for 115 yards to lead Monrovia to a 35-7 rout of South Pasadena. Derrick Johnson capped the win in the fourth quarter with a 12 yard touchdown run.

  Monrovia remained undefeated improving to 8-0 overall and 3-0 in league. Next week the Wildcats travel to La Canada to face a Spartan team that is coming off an upset of San Marino.

 

Charter Oak 42 Wilson 0

  Adam Muema rushed for 193 yards and four touchdowns as Charter Oak shut out Wilson 52-0 in Miramonte League action. It was a record breaking night for Muema as he broke Jason David’s career rushing mark at Charter Oak. Muema now has 3,458 yards breaking the mark of David’s 3,379.  

  Quarterback Kyle Brown, forced into action with the injuries to Travis Santiago and Josiah Thropay, completed six of ten passes for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns. It was the Chargers third consecutive shut out in league.

 

San Dimas 28 Pomona 0

  The San Dimas ground game was in full attack mode as Ryan Kohler rushed for 120 yards and Tre Evans scored three touchdowns in a 28-0 whitewash of Pomona.

  Sean Kennedy connected with Justin Winrow on a 50 yard touchdown to get the Saints off and running. It was third straight shutout for San Dimas.  

  San Dimas improved to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the Valle Vista. The Saints will face Northview next week before the showdown with Baldwin Park on November 13. Pomona dropped to 5-3 (1-2) and will host Covina next week in a key league matchup.

 

La Serna 33 Whittier 28

  Andrew Rosales hauled in a 38 yard touchdown pass from Andrew Buenrostro on the game’s final play to give La Serna a dramatic 33-28 win over Whittier in Del Rio League action.

  La Serna recovered an onside kick at the Whittier 49 to set the stage for the game winner. Buenrostro three for 324 yards and four touchdowns – all four were to Rosales. Rosales had seven catches for 175 yards.

  Whittier led 14-0 after Alex Gonzalez scored on a 66 yard run. The Cards took the two touchdown lead into the half but the Lancers came storming back in the fourth quarter.

  La Serna improved to 2-1 in league and 3-5 overall. Whittier is 0-3 and 3-5.
