1. The Rams dropped to 4-5 on the season after a 23-15 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football.

3. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will undergo season ending surgery Wednesday to repair his hamstring.  
4. The USC football program has been fined $50,000 and placed on a one-year probation due to a violation of “on- and off-field coaching activities,” the NCAA announced Tuesday.
5. The Angels signed catcher Travis d’Arnaud to a two-year, $12 million deal. 
6. The Chicago Bears fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron. 
7. Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Rays, which was severely damaged by the recent hurricane, can be repaired in time for the 2026 season but the Rays need to find another place to play next season. 
8. Former Notre Dame head football coach Gerry Faust passed away Monday at the age of 89. Faust, who had no college football coaching experience before taking over at Notre Dame, had a 30-26-1 record for the Irish from 1981 to 1985.  
9. The San Francisco 49ers signed former Salesian star, cornerback Deommodore Lenoir, to a five-year $92 million extension. 
10. UCLA basketball is off to a 2-1 start. The Bruins beat Rider, lost to New Mexico and then beat Boston University.
