  1. The Chargers signed two-time Pro Bowl left tackle Rashawn Slater to a four-year, $114 million extension. 
  2. The Dodgers lost to the Boston Red Sox 4-3 Sunday and lost two out of three in the series. 
  3. The Cincinnati Bengals officially signed rookie edge rusher Shemar Stewart. 
  4. The Dallas Cowboys signed tight end Jake Ferguson to a four-year, $52 million extension. 
  5. The Chicago Bulls signed head coach Billy Donovan to a multiyear contract extension. 
  6. The Covina Colt All Stars advanced to the Colt World Series starting next Friday in Marion, Illinois. 
  7. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is expected to miss practice all of next week with back soreness. 
  8. Seattle’s Cal Raleigh hit his 41st home run of the year Sunday against the Angels. 
  9. Mike Trout hit a two-run home run Sunday for the Angels to reach the 1,000 RBI plateau for his career.
  10. Ichiro Suzuki, Billy Wagner, CC Sabathia, Dave Parker and Dick Allen were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame Sunday. Parker and Allen were both enshrined posthumously.
