  1. TCU beat USC 30-27 in overtime in the Valero Alamo Bowl Tuesday night. USC finished the season with a record of 9-4.  
  2. USC defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn has left to become the DC at Penn State. 
  3. New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs is facing a felony charge of strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of assault from an alleged incident on December 2. 
  4. The Dallas Cowboys released two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs Tuesday. 
  5. Former Oregon/ UCLA head coach and Las Vegas Raiders offensive coordinator was named the offensive coordinator at Northwestern.
  6. “We took Notre Dame at their word that they would play us anytime and anywhere. That proposal was rejected. Not only was it rejected, five minutes after we got the call, it was announced that they had scheduled another opponent, BYU, which I’ll give them credit.   7. Illinois beat Tennessee 30-28 Tuesday in the Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl. 
  8. Boys Basketball: Los Altos beat Schurr 87-43 Tuesday night to win the Duarte/ Temple City Holiday Classic. 
  9. The Angels came to an agreement with Anthony Rendon to restructure the remainder of his contract effectively ending his tenure with the team. 
  10. UCLA quarterback Nico Iamaleava will forgo the NFL draft and return to the Bruins in 2026.
