4—Former Temple City running back Johnny Escobedo turns 36 today. Escobedo rushed for 726 yards, seven touchdowns, and five yards a crack for the Rams in 2007.
5—On this date in 1948, 42-year old pitcher Satchel Paige makes his MLB debut for the Cleveland Indians. He threw two scoreless innings against the St. Louis Browns, allowing two singles, and striking out one.
