If you grew up in or around Temple City, you have probably heard of Temple City High School football. You’ve also heard who legendary head coach Bob Hitchcock was and the history that he possesses. From Hitchcock to Mike Mooney to Riley Saxon, Temple City football has a long history with its players and coaches. It started in the ’70s, where the school won 196 games- including 46 straight- and also hoisted seven CIF Southern Section titles between 1970 and ’79.

(Downey) – Sierra Canyon struck early and often in a 49-7 rout of Downey Friday night at Allen Layne Stadium. The Trailblazers led 21-7 at the end of the first quarter. They extended it to 42-7 at halftime and coasted the rest of the way on a running clock.

(Pasadena) – The UCLA Bruins could not earn their first victory of the 2025 football season, losing to the visiting New Mexico Lobos 35-10 Friday evening in front of an announced attendance of 31,163 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

Temple City – For the first time in two years, the Temple City Rams played their first game at the newly renovated Bob Hitchcock Stadium on a cool Friday night. After the smoke and confetti settled, the Rams took care of business by blowing out the visiting Bosco Tech Tigers 45-14 in front of a rambunctious crowd for their first win of the 2025 campaign.
