Because of the Christmas holidays, few games have been played and not much has changed from last week. Only noticeable changes are the top three has altered with Maranatha popping on the board. Also emerging at the number 17 slot is the Pasadena Bulldogs. We have many tournaments this week taking place as the last stride before we hit league play.

1. Glendora (10-0) Still on top after holiday break

2. Damien (9-0) Debut in Nogales Tournament today at 6:30pm

3. Maranatha (9-1) lost by only 9 points to one of Southern Section’s best teams in Mission Viejo (10-0) At Maui Invitational.

4. La Canada (9-0) Plays Marshall today in the La Salle/Temple City Classic

5. Montebello (10-2) Arcadia is up next in first round of the Holiday Classic at Temple City.

6. Bonita (8-2) Kicks off the Covina Tournament at 5:30 against Arroyo today.

7. Northview (9-2) Looking to prolong winning streak today at Covina Classic

8. Bishop Amat (9-2) Clashes with South Hills today at Covina Classic

9. Mountain View (7-2) Plays Lincoln next; first of three games before beginning league play.

10. Ayala (7-3) On a two-game losing skid; La Mirada is next. 

11. Rowland (8-2) 6’6 senior forward Sharif Watson averaging 16 points, 9.7 Boards, and two blocks per game

12.  Covina (7-3) The Colts have won four straight going into today’s tournament as the host.

13. Baldwin Park (7-3) Entering Ontario Christian Tournament against Chino.

14. Mark Keppel ( 7-3) Meets with lowly St. Paul in La Salle Tourney.

15. Bell Gardens (8-7) Went 4-1 to rid their 5 game losing streak

16. Sonora (7-5) Lost five in a row after starting 7-1.

17. Pasadena (5-3) Bulldogs play in Oaks Christian Holiday Invitational.

18. Whittier (7-6) lost by three to Bishop Amat.

19. Gabrielino (6-3) Takes part in the La Salle/TC tournament today

20. Crescenta Valley (7-2) Rides momentum of two game winning streak into game against Burroughs.

21. South El Monte (7-8) Looking forward to Don Bosco on January 7.

22. Mayfair (5-4) Ended losing streak against Centennial, plays Roosevelt today at the Maxpreps Holiday Classic

23. Sierra Vista (5-5) Team play; averaging 17 assist a game collectively as a team with five players nearly averaging double digits in scoring.

24. Nogales (5-6) Nobles host Christmas tournament  this week

25. Arroyo (5-6) Leading scorer is center Mark Roche, averaging 16 points a game.
