Mid-Valley Division Top 20

Ellis McCarthy, Anthony Craft (8) and Monrovia remain on top

No changes in the top four as they all came away with victories. San Dimas took out its frustrations on Azusa while Alhambra is making people take notice. Is La Puente the best team in the Montview? Teams to watch: Pomona, Montebello, San Marino.

1. Monrovia (1-0) – Slow start, De’Shawn finish.

2. Covina (1-1) – Game with Gladstone is good for the soul.

3. Arroyo (2-0) – Knights get a little R&R- Rivera and records.

4. Maranatha (2-0) – Offense struggles but Minutemen still win by 17.

5. San Dimas (1-1) – Saints back on track in rout of Azusa.

6. Village Christian (2-0) – Crusaders fill it up on Fillmore; perfect through two.

10. San Gabriel (1-1) – With Eric Alvarez back behind center, Mats even record.

11. Pomona (2-0) – So far so good for Red Devils.

12. Whittier Christian (1-1) – Nice bounce back win for Heralds.

13. Schurr (0-1) – Cantwell and Downey tough way to open season.

14. Montebello (2-0) – Oilers off and running in right direction.

15. Rosemead (0-1) – Panthers looking for some offense.

16. El Monte (1-1) – Lions wear down late against LP.

17. Temple City (0-1) – Important non league match up with Alhambra this week.
