    Almont league sucks.
Schurr 2x CIF Championship San Gabriel 2 Cif Final Appearances Bell Gardens 3 Final appearances. What has the Arroyo league ever done. The almont is always knocking on the door and it will soon be answered.

    emhs,

No where in my comment did I say you weren’t playing for league nor did I say that you didn’t make the playoffs. I was talking about consistency and the only consistency El Monte has is first round losses in the playoffs.

I think the Almont is stronger than the MVL. Just my opinion….

How are MVL teams going to compete with Monrovia, Paraclete, Sierra Canyon, and San Dimas?

I also hate that the LA Times spends most of it’s coverage on USC, UCLA and the PAC 12. Just because the Mid Valley is located in El Monte and delivers to all the El Monte schools, is read mainly by those who reside in the vicinity of El Monte, and sells nearly all of it’s advertising to area businesses is no reason they should focus on the El Monte Schools. That’s just plain idiotic! (Since I understand that 10% of the population does not understand Sarcasm…never mind)

You guys are funny, the only two decent teams to come out of the mid valley league is Arroyo and Rosemead. Everyone else is just a pushover. Consistency is the name of the game. Arroyo and Rosemead are the only two teams that continue to always battle for league. Every year teams talk about beating Arroyo for the league title but until you finally beat them, you will continue to be an after thought in the Mid Valley Division.

    Ceee-Ohhh!

@arroyo according to the scoreboard at the end of our meeting in 2nd round it wasnt the team from the Almont League that didnt advance now was it!?!?!?

@ Bear Chaser really how did a team from Almont League get to the CIF Championship if our league is so terrible played all the games they allow you to so nobody is crying.

@Mid Valley do you want CHEESE with that wine? There’s better ways to say your league deserves more coverage. You don’t have to cry about it.

El monte is improved, but I would not consider them to be a force in the Midvalley. They are similar to what Arroyo has been. They will Play either Monrovia, Paraclete, Sierra Canyon, or San Dimas in the 2nd round. That is as far as they will go. However, they could run into a VVL or RHL 2nd place team in the first round. Either way the MVL is not going to produce a champion. However the Almount league which has been stronger over the last 5 years could and has.

The Almont league just had a team in the Finals, and they did beat Arroyo. I really hope Monrovia plays Arroyo in the first round. If this Happens in November, I will say why then, but it’s too early to unload on arroyo…

All I’ve Been hearing about is these El monte Schools the last month. Why dont you guys cover other schools!!!!, The Almont League gets no coverage and I can actually say that they have 5 schools that are way better this year than any of those teams in that league……
