Del Rio League Standings

Del Rio League Standings & Stuff

Stuff:

California Condors: Certain salvations can come in small packages, or four quarters of good football.

Offensive Line: LT: David Escamilla, LG: Jacob Gamboa, C: German Ponce, RG: Ronnie McMinn, RT: Christian Quinones

La Serna Lancers: “For in my way it lies. Stars, hide your fires!…Let not light see my black and deep desires: The eye wink at the hand! yet let that be…Which the eye fears, when it is done, to see…”— Shakespeare (MacBeth)

Whittier Cardinals: Do you remember the night this team beat Whittier Christian?

El Rancho Dons: If they played El Monte the overs & unders would be 150 points.

Pioneer Titans: Need to take Whittier, and perhaps The Ranch, and form the South Mission Valley League. It’s time.

Santa Fe Chiefs: What happened against La Serna, if they could buy back last Thursday night they would.

La Serna has a strong offensive line, which has have played a more difficult schedule than the other Del Rio League teams. Games against Westlake, Norco, Bonita and Downey have been challenging but the line was able to provide pass protection the QB and provide running lanes for the RB’S.
La Serna Offensive Line is LT Enrique Huerta (JR), LG Isiah Osorio (SR) C Joey Villaescusa(SR) RG Marc Palumbo(JR) RT Joshua Bustamante(SR)
Let me compare a couple of some statistics for discussion purpose of La Serna and CAL. First O-Line played only half of the Pioneer and Whittier games; 3 quarters of El Rancho and Santa Fe games, otherwise the numbers would be greater.
    Passing Yards per Game
    La Serna 154.4
    CAL 97.3
    Rushing Yards Per Game
    La Serna 241.7
    CAL 245.2
    Points Per Game
    La Serna 39
    CAL 30.2
    Passing Comp
    La Serna 101
    CAL 51
You can easily deduce that my statements are supported by facts. My only reason for bringing this up is that you mentioned the CAL’s Oline and was mentioned in a Whittier Daily News article. So lets give credit where it is deserved. Thanks
