1. The Lakers lose to Utah Wednesday night to fall to 1-4.

3. Former NFL receiver David Boston could face nearly three years in prison for punching a woman last year.
4. On this date in 2002 Pomona beat Northview 17-14 to improve to 4-0 in the Valle Vista. The Red Devils went on to an undefeated league run and advanced to the semi finals of the CIF Division IX playoffs where they lost to Pacifica 20-14.
5. On this date in 2007 Blair (9-2 overall) beat La Canada 42-15 to wrap up a share of the Rio Hondo League title with Monrovia. Both teams were 4-1 however Blair beat the Wildcats 38-26 at Monrovia two weeks earlier. The Vikings, coached by Tip Sanders, advanced to the second round of the CIF Mid-Valley Division playoffs where they lost to Valley Christian 34-24.
6. The Clippers stopped a two game skid with a 106-84 win over San Antonio Wednesday night.
7. This year Blair went 0-10, was shut out eight times and outscored 557-28.
8. Former Texas Coach Darrell Royal died Wednesday at the age of 88. Royal coached the Longhorns from 1957 to 1976 winning 11 Southwest Conference titles and national championships in 1963 and 1969 going 11-0 each time.
