Roddy Hiatt Takes over at his alma mater

(Pico Rivera) – El Rancho has named Roddy Hiatt as its new head football coach school administrators confirmed today.

Hiatt is an alumnus of El Rancho where he graduated in 1970. He played split end and cornerback and was part of the 1968 CIF Championship team. Hiatt has held the head coaching positions at ELAC and Exeter High School. He was also the defensive coordinator at St. Paul, Artesia and El Rancho.

Hiatt’s most recent stop was as the head coach at Salesian from 2009 – 2012 where he had an overall record of 35-14 and reached the CIF Semi Finals in the 2009, 2011 and 2012 seasons.

Eric Yost has been serving as the interim HC since Vinny Lopez stepped down last month.
