Cathedral showed why its number one while St. Francis took care of business against Westco. Crescenta Valley is off and running and La Serna getting it’s second straight W minus Margarito is impressive.
La Mirada needed to bounce back and it did. Dominguez moves in, Norwalk out.
1. Cathedral (1-0) – Phantoms take no prisoners against Muir.
2. St. Francis (1-0) – Golden Knights hold off a strong West Covina team.
3. Crescenta Valley (1-0) – Falcons pick up where they left off.
4. Salesian (2-0) – Defense pitches a shutout. Mustangs win their second.
5. Downey (1-1) – Vikings fall to Hart but doesn’t everybody?
6. La Serna (2-0) – The Lancers pushing distractions aside, keep winning.
7. Burbank (1-1) – Bulldogs fall on the road but Ayala is no chump.
8. La Mirada (1-1) – Nice bounce back for Moschetti’s crew.
9. Dominguez (1-1) – The Dons move into number nine; seemed destined for higher.
10. California (1-1) – Condors compete against BG; we’ll know more this week with Pomona.
