1. J.P. Shofi’s 11-catch, 295-yard and two touchdown performance in the CIF Central Division title game.

2. The Dodgers have agreed to aquire Aroldis Chapman from the Cincinnati Reds for two minor league prospects.

3. La Mirada’s Sei’-J Luago’s 292 yards and three touchdowns in the CIF Southeast Division title game.

4. UCLA will take on Nebraska in the Foster Farms Bowl and USC will meet Wisconsin in the Holiday Bowl.

5. Belated Mid Valley birthday wishes to Maranatha head coach Steve Bogan who celebrated another year this past Saturday.

6. Sierra Canyon at San Marino Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. in the first round of the Open Division 2015 CIF Regional Football Championships.

7. On this day in 1941, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor and other targets in Hawaii and drew the United States into WWII.

8. Oceanside at La Mirada Friday night at 7:00 p.m. in the first round of the Divsion III-AA 2015 CIF Regional Football Championships.

9. Larry Bird and Johnny Bench share a birthday today. Bird number 59 and Bench number 68.
