1. Clayton Kershaw goes 7.1 innings and Scott Van Slyke belts a three run home run as the Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2 Wednesday. With 11 strikeouts and one walk Kershaw has now struck out 133 batters and walked just seven on the year.

2. The LA Galaxy beat La Maquina FC 4-1 in overtime in the fourth round of the U.S Open Cup Tuesday night.

3. The NHL has settled on Las Vegas as the home for its next expansion franchise. $500 million is required to start the franchise.

4. Von Miller is still in a contract dispute with Denver, but the Broncos did sign linebacker Brandon Marshall to a four-year, $32 million extension.

5. Golden State center Andrew Bogut will miss the rest of the NBA Finals with a knee injury.

6. Projected number one NBA draft pick Ben Simmons declines to work out for the Philadelphia 76ers, who have the top pick.

7. “I’m going just to see San Gabriel.” – MVS Commenter Deacon Blues on the Rumble at the Ranch Saturday.

8. Happy Birthday to former California Angels first baseman Wally Joyner who turns 54 today.

9. Muir went 3-7 last year and finished in sixth place in the Pacific League. Mustangs 2016 first five games: Compton, at Desert Oasis (Las Vegas), at La Salle, Burbank, at Arcadia.
