1. Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza were officially inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame in the induction ceremony Sunday.

2. Sierra Canyon will open their 2016 season on the road August 19th in Orem, UT.

3. The Dodgers have won six of their last 10 games and have pulled to within three games of the Giants.

4. Glendora High School alum and former NBA journeyman Tracy Murray and former Dodger and Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez both turn 45 today.

5. After 10 seasons in the NFL wide receiver Greg Jennings calls it a career with 425 receptions for 6,537 yards and 53 touchdowns.

6. 25 years ago today Roseanne Barr butchered the National Anthem at Jack Murphy Stadium before the Reds v. Padres game.

7. The Angels have also won six of their last 10 games but remain in last place in the AL West 13.5 games behind the Rangers.

8. On this day in 1997 Bret Favre signs a $50 million 7 year deal with the Green Bay Packers.
