1. The Floyd Mayweather- Connor McGregor fight is set for August 26 in Las Vegas.

2. 30 for 30: Celtics/Lakers – Best of Enemies on ESPN.

3. Oklahoma State HC Mike Gundy signs a five-year extension which will pay him $4.2 million this year followed by $125,000 raise each year afterward.

4. Former NFL quarterback Doug Williams has been named the senior vice president of  player personnel for the Washington Redskins. Williams was the MVP of Super Bowl XXII when he led the Skins to a 42-10 rout of the Denver Broncos.

5. Former Seattle Seahawks punter Rick “Bootin'” Tuten has passed away at the age of 52.

6. The Dodgers place Adrian Gonzalez on the 10-day disabled list with pain in his lower back.

8. Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig is suspended one game and fined for making an obscene gesture to an Indians fan Tuesday Night. Puig flashed the middle finger on both hands at fans sitting behind home plate after hitting a home run at Progressive Field.

9. On this date in 1987 Michael Spinks knocks out Gerry Cooney in the fifth round to win the heavyweight title.

10. Former Dodger outfielder/current Washington Nationals manager Dusty Baker turns 68 today.

    #5 People don’t pass away at 52. At 70 and above maybe. At 70 you can drift off in your sleep and pass away… But at 52 you DIE and generally have a rough departure. RIP

    Hey Peterson I know sg isn’t on your sights like it used to but you should go interview the coAch see what he thinks of the situation,facilities,talent,future and any other thing that would be good to know this is just a suggestion hope to hear what u think of that( had Thur first peactice this week
