1. The Toronto Blue Jays traded pitcher Marcus Stroman to the New York Mets for two minor league pitching prospects.

2. Cincinnati Bengals receiver A.J. Green has torn ligaments in his left ankle and is expected to miss six to eight weeks including the regular season opener September 8.

3. Brooks Koepka won the FedEx St. Jude Invitational by three strokes over Rory McIlroy.

4. The Dodgers fell to Washington 11-4 Sunday but took two out of three from the Nationals in the weekend series.

5. Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner, negotiating for himself, signed a three-year, $54 million extension with the team.

6. The LA Galaxy, who beat the best team in the league LAFC 3-2 last week, were shut out by the Portland Timbers 4-0 Saturday night.

7. Monrovia at West Covina, Friday night August 23, 7:00 p.m.

8. On this day in 1986, a New York jury rules that the NFL violated antitrust laws and awards the USFL $1.00 in damages.

9. Former Dodger pitcher Chad Billingsley turns 35 today.

    After perusing all the league schedules the Montebello Oilers have come up the the most interesting and demanding of non-league match-ups. Good luck.
