Cuda Does it All for Saints

(Rowland Heights) – Nicholas Cuda had four touchdowns leading San Dimas to a 49-17 victory over host Rowland Thursday night in Valle Vista League action.

Cuda scored his first touchdown on the Saints first drive of the game, a five yard blast to the end zone.

The Raiders answered with a 30-yard field goal by Ulysses Hernandez on the first play of the second quarter to make it 7-3.

San Dimas drove right down field with their ground and pound offense and scored on a 15-yard Cuda run. After a three and out for Rowland, the Saints took advantage of the short field and Bleau Wallace scored with three minutes left in the first half.

Raiders used a hurry up offense to get down field and a perfect pass from Elias Bane to Barry Bozoneir made it 21-10.

The Saints weren’t done in the first half Cuda took a reverse 43-yards to paydirt making it 28-10 only taking 30-seconds off the clock.

Rowland tried to get on the board before the end of the half but Cuda intercepted a Bane pass at the one yard line.

San Dimas scored two times in the third quarter on runs by Wallace and Cuda breaking the game open at 42-10 going into the fourth quarter.

Tye Wallace scored on a four yard run for the Raiders early in the fourth. The Saints answered right back this time through the air when Ryan Bulick found a wide open Jacob Buccola capping off the scoring at 49-17.

Wallace had 65-yards on 21-carries for the Raiders. Bozoneir had five receptions for 104 yards and Bane finished 10 of 23 for 164-yards a touchdown and interception.

Cuda had 234-yards rushing into just 12-carries, Wallace 15-carries for 57-yards and two scores. Buccola had 66-total yards from scrimmage to go along with his touchdown reception.

San Dimas (7-2) will host Wilson next week, Rowland (7-2) will stay home and host Northview.

    Congrats to the boys and the coaches for the league title! Hopefully SD will do well in the playoffs and meet Bonita or Monrovia along the way. It would be great to revive the rivalry between SD and Monrovia. Look forward to it.
