T-Minus-99 Days until “The Mid Valley Classic”

Good Evening!

Mike McFarland hopes to get TC back on track

This has been a tough week for Fanview Lite…One interruption after another…It ridiculous…

PSA of the Day

Currently accepting donations for the Joe Torosian Vacation Fund.

Less than a hundred days from the start of the football season, I have to say this has been the best of all off seasons for us football wise. Based on hits and site activity the only stretch showing little interest in football was the week after the finals, through Christmas break. From January on, anything we posted on football pretty much doubled any other story.

Amazing.

Breaking News: Byron Scott has torn a hamstring and won’t be available in the finals when the Lakers play the Pistons…

Oh…yeah…okay…You mean that one already happened?

I’ve enjoyed the first two games of the Stanley Cup…(Have I ever mentioned that I went to the hockey hall of fame in Toronto and actually kissed the cup?—True story)…but I’m hardly Mr. NHL.

So it is with a little hesitation I say: “I saw more checks in game two than in a Prague phone book…”

(I guess that’s bad…)

I will say this with conviction. It would be better watching the Cup finals if the Kings’ Bob Miller was doing the play by play.

Even Nick Nickson would be an improvement.

Why is it the Boston Celtics never come into the NBA Finals with a fresh, young, exciting team…Why is it they always show up looking like defenders of the Alamo?

The poor, tired, beaten, worn out Celtics…

It was nice to see the Dodgers get the win Monday night at the Ravine, but on a balk? I don’t know, I think if the home team scores the go ahead run on a balk the visitors should get at least one possession.

On the other hand when you play fourteen innings like they did today, in the sun, paying the kind of concession prices you are forced to pay at Casa Azuel…Let that sucker end…Give me air conditioning and traffic. For some reason an extra-inning affair at night doesn’t bother me at all.

Probably because to get to the day game you have to do some creative scheduling and you need to get out before people start wondering where you really are.

Mike McFarland is official at Temple City…He didn’t want me to say confirmed because he thought it could open up a whole religious can of worms between him and his mom. So we’re going to say he’s official, and things look solid.

Things need to look solid at TC because former Rams HC Mike Mooney put a significant down on Mid Valley karma with the late night delivery of San Marino gear this past weekend.

Matt Koffler was on last night and saying he’s ready to play anybody. I mean this as a compliment; he does a great job selling Rosemead football. And since we are always reporting Koffler’s offers, I think he could actually make British Petroleum stock go up.

Last Add McFarland: He will be live in studio on June 8th…(As will Arcadia HC Jon Dimalante)

Blue State needs to explain to me how Chad Billingsley got his groove back…And then how Dontrelle Willis fell off the face of the earth.

Sanctions coming down for USC this week, but I wonder what it would be like for newspapers or news sites if they were punished for their infractions when covering sports.

What would the penalties be? Instead of 30 credentials from CIF they get only 20.

No free food at any event while on probation.

Wall to wall, blanket coverage of the prep badminton season.

Hosting  “The Mid Valley Sports Show” with Andy Villathedevil…or being placed in line behind Big Tony Solorzano, and Big George Hernandez at a potluck.

Stay thirsty my friends…
